Celeste Greene offers individual yoga therapy, teacher mentorship and educational trainings. As a yoga therapist at A Resting Place, she works with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, cancer, hyper-sensitization, eating disorders, and insomnia.
Yoga found Celeste at age 16. She was drawn to the practices and philosophies of yoga which led her to become a trained teacher and she began teaching at 21. After many years of studio teaching, she craved a deeper level of relating to her practice. This huger guided her to begin a 500-hour teacher training program in the lineage of TKV Desikachar (Viniyoga) through the Yoga Well Institute with C. Bossart. After completion, Celeste so thoroughly enjoyed learning at Yoga Well, that she went on to complete their four-year, 1,008-hour Yoga Therapy training program, which she graduated from 2021. She continues her studies in Vedic chanting and yoga therapy at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. Alongside her continuous yoga studies, Celeste has been a dedicated meditation practitioner for 20 years in the lineage of Sri Aurobindo through David Pomerantz in Durango Colorado.
Immediately following her graduation, Celeste began working as a clinical Yoga Therapist at Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt where her work focused on complex chronic pain & chronic illness patients. During this time Celeste also took a seat on the executive committee on the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
When Celeste is not in her personal practice, chanting, studying, or teaching, she enjoys the tranquility of her cabin in the woods, surrounded by nature and animals. She loves all for of creative expression - finding joy play! You may ofen see her styling furniture, arranging flowers, riding horses, cooking for friends, making pottery, and hunting for unique antiques!
